Autograph Document Signed, "John Gridley", 1p. oblong octavo, April 3, 1770, Boston, Massachusetts, and reads: "Received this day from Thomas Fayerweather Esq. five Black Men servants, Cato, Charleston, Josh, Prince & Boston, upon the Terms following: I argue to find them Victuals, cloathing, washing, lodging, mending and to pay the Doctor bill in case of sickness as also to make good the loss of either or all of the above named black men servants in case of Death. & Further I agree to allow & pay to the said Thomas Fayerweather Esq. one shilling money pr. week for hire of the above named servants..."
