Autograph Letter Signed, 2p. quarto, Danville, january 25, 1850, with integral address leaf to her husband Mr. W. P. Tunstall in Richmond, and reads in aprt: “...Your valuable present arrived...The first day the child was very fearful, but I gave her a dose of oil which soon quieted her & now she is quite quiet. I am glad she is the right color. Betsy is a gentile looking servant & so far I like her as well or better tahn any I know...I think it strange they sold her. She lived with Bettie Mead from her marriage. She is make Mr. H. some drawers & sews quite well...She will have to help Chloe sometimes iron & c. The child makes a great difference. She appears to be well disposed & brisk, thats what I like you know. She knows well enough, if she will continue willing...” Small loss at top corner, else VG.
