Autograph Document Signed, 2p. folio, Vanzandt County, Texas, July 9, 1860, with raised county seal with Texas star at center, it reads in part: "...We E.S. Renfroe and John C. Tyson...for and in consideration of the sum of two thousand dollars to us in hand paid by Jesse H. Tanner....have granted bargained and sold...Three certain Negroes to the said Tanner, of the following description to wit, One negro woman named Lucinda age (22) twenty two years color - Griff, One boy named Tom four years old Black complexion & one boy named Ugene age (2) two years yellow complexion all of the above named Negroes we warrant to be slaves for life..." Fine.
