Ramsey, Imperial Kligrapp, Atlanta, Georgia, January 31, 1923, titled "Instructions and Recommendations to all Kligrapps", 1p. folio, and reads in part: "…In order that you may be able to function with less friction, I deem it advisable to go into the matter of your duties a little more clearly than possibly the Constitution outlines to you…when a request for a charter is made for your Klan a list of the charter petitioners sent in. These names are recorded at these Headquarters and your charter issued. If men are added in any manner after that or deducted for any cause, it is necessary that we have their names so that we may add and take away from the original list, thus enabling these Headquarters to always have a complete list of your membership so that we may correctly audit your reports and furnish information regarding your Klan both to yourselves and to other Klans in the Nation. A failure to attach the applications for your new members on K-115, or to give us a list of the men you have deducted by suspension, by death, by banishment or for any other cause, or a list of those affiliated from other Klans will immediately throw our records out in so far as they can be reconciled with yours, this you can readily see…" VG.
