Partly-printed Document Signed, “S. S. Anderson” 1p. quarto, Head Quarters Virginia Forces, Richmond, Virginia, May 26, 1861, issued by R.S. Garnett, Adjutant General, and reads in part: “...The Commanding General desires you to require all official letters or papers from officers under your command, destined for the Headquarters of the Virginia Forces, to pass through you and the intermediate commanders; and, as well as those from your own office, to be folded and endorsed in the manner show by the Form on the back of this communication...” with Autograph Note Signed at bottom instructing that the order be followed. Fine.
