WEISIGER, David Addison (1818-1899) Entered the Confederate Army as a colonel of the 12th Virginia and served under General Mahone at the Battle of 2nd Manassas and succeeded Mahone in command after the Battle of the Wilderness. He was wounded during the Siege of Petersburg.Signed Stock Certificate "D.A. Weisiger" 1p. oblong octavo, March 9, 1870, on Citizens' Savings Bank of Virginia, with fine vignette of train and steamship at left. Framed with carte-de-visite of General Weisiger in uniform. VG.
