Wright” as Chief of Confederate Records in the War Department, 1p. quarto, May 16, 1910, on War Department stationary, addressed to Col. Cook, in most part: “...I have your letter of 13th enclosing letter from Prof. J.H. Reynolds. His address to me & other things, leads me to believe that he is not well infomred in Confederate history....You do know about Confederate history. Let me renew my request that I send you my manuscript, you can judge of its merits & better negotiate for its sale. I am terribly in need of the money, & want you to expediate the sale...” VG.
