CRITTENDEN, John J. (1787-1863) Kentucky lawyer and politician, he served as U.S Senator, U.S. Attorney General. He was a Unionist and fought to keep Kentucky from seceding though he opposed the confiscation acts and the Emancipation Proclamation.Partly-printed Document Signed, "J.J.
