KEARNY, Philip (1815-1862) Union Major General who served in Napoleon III's guard, lost an arm during the Mexican War, and led with distinction in the Peninsula Campaign. He was killed at Chantilly. Manuscript Document Signed, “P. Kearney Capt. 1st Dra. Comdg F.” 1p. small quarto, April 15, 1847, being the “Provision Return for COmpany F 1st Regt Dragoons, for two days...Vera Cruz, Mexico...” Fine.
