Autograph Letter Signed, “James Thompson” 3p. octavo, pencil, Camp near Bellplains, December 25, 1862, and reads in part: “...I wish you a Merry Christmas...I cannot hear anything from Corry [his brotehr Cordenio Thompson, also in the 104th NY KIA at Fredericksburg twelve days previous] yet. Some of the boys that were slightly wounded came back today...there is but two corporals left in Co. A...Our loss has been put down at over twelve thousand men...” Fine.
