Book, “Memorial of William Kirkland Bacon, Late Adjutant of the Twenty-Sixth Regiment of New York State Volunteers” by His Father, 1863, 98p. octavo, with inscription “To Mrs. Mary Ann Sherrell with the loving rememberance of her attached friend. Mr. & Mr.s Bacon July 1863.” VG. William Kirkland Bacon served with the 26th New York Infantry as Lieutenat, being twiced wounded at 2nd Bull Run and Fredericksburg where his wound proved fatal.
