SEYMOUR, Truman (1824-1891) Union general who served from Sumter to Sayler’s Creek. Autograph Letter Signed, “T. Seymour” 3p. octavo, addressed to Colonel H. L. Abbott, and reads in part: “...At the Naval Laboratory...I saw yesterday, several very interesting projectiles that should be sent to the collection at West Point...Six in all , others not remembered. At the Tredgar Works are hammered shot; I would suggest sending one in the rough, and one finished...” With illustrations. VG.
