HUNT, Lewis Cass (1824-1886) Union brigadier general, severly wounded at Seven Pines. Autograph Letter Signed, “L.C. Hunt” 4p. octavo, July 28, Fort Duncan, addressed to General Ord in San Antonio, and reads in part: “...can find nothing of your missing papers....would have surely have sent them to Gen. Trevino...any kind of hitch for Generals Trevino and Cavada...has been mismanaged by my A.C.S. for I told him long ago taht $100 per mo. would not under the circumstances be excessive for each officer...” Fine.
