A good WAR FOR THE UNION stereoview card bearing a double 3" x 6 1/4" albumen image entitled: "The Ambulance Corps." Showing zouaves loading an ambulance. The image's description reads, in part: "…this view shows the method of removing the wounded from the field by the Ambulance Corps…notwithstanding all that was done, the wounded suffered horribly…after any great battle it required several days…of steady work ere all the wounded were gathered up and no pen…can tell how they suffered…". Published by Taylor & Huntington, Hartford, Conn. on an orange mount. Some wear, else very good.
