Carte-de-visite Signed by JAMES PARKE CORBIN, Jr. (1847-1904)His family home ‘Moss Neck’ Plantation was Stonewall Jackson’s Headquarters 1862-63, served in Company D with the VMI cadets at the Battle of New Market and was wounded and confined at the Confederate Military hospital in Richmond in November, 1864, he graduated from VMI in 1867. This fine Carte has a backmark of “Boude & McClelland, Photographers, Lexington, Va.” It is signed on the front in bold hand “J.P. Corbin, Jr.” as a VMI cadet and possibly war date. Fine.
