GLASSCOCK, George Washington (1810-1868) early settler of Texas, legislator and businessman of Kentucky, he was Abraham Lincoln’s flatboat partner on the Sangamon River.Autograph Document Signed, “G.W. Glasscock” 1p. quarto, September 11, 1839, Liberty County, Texas, and reads “this is to certify that if David Kingcaid makes me a deed to one equal half of the lands that I located for him for the consideration of his note for six hundred dollars then he is to have his note the land is his own headqright & Justice Military claim and also W. Kingcaid in the same way his own headwright and one labour of W. Rice and also W. Dugan his headwright...” Good.
