A chilling war-date CDV labeled: "The Assassin's Vision" in period pencil on the verso. A dreamy depiction of Booth's ghastly dead is imagined were a standing Lincoln is attacked by Booth who is mounted upon a wild-eyed horse. Adding to the surreal effect are tiny little Lincoln heads that hang from the tree behind Lincoln. Published by Francis Hacker, Rhode Island in 1865. Minor soiling, else very good.
