Ali won a close but unanimous decision, with referee Tony Perez scoring it 6-5-1, judge Tony Castellano 7-4-1, and judge Jack Gordon 8-4-0. This was a closed circuit fight. This exhilarating design promotes the third and final meeting between Ali and Frazier, and is signed in the plate by the artist LeRoy Nieman. The "Thrilla in Manila" is regarded as one of the best boxing matches in history, featuring two Ali punches in the 13th which sent Frazier's mouth-guard sailing out of his mouth. The second fight in 1974 was a rematch, with Ali winning by unanimous decision, and the third fight, "The Thrilla in Manila" in 1975, was a grueling 14-round bout won by Ali via corner retirement.
