Manuscript Document. One page, 9 ½" x 7 1/2". No place. June 9, 1812. The document is a "Report of a Guard mounted at Fort Hamilton June 9th 1812." The document lists six individuals who guarded the barracks and rampart of the fort in two hour shifts from 8 until 2. Some minor paper loss and discoloration. Fort Hamilton is a United States Army installation in the southwestern corner of the New York City borough of Brooklyn, surrounded by the communities of Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights.
