This photograph was taken in the summer of 1860 by John Adams Whipple of Boston, who set up his camera in the yard across the street. Listed as #O-38 in “Lincoln in Photographs“, this photograph shows Lincoln, his son Willie, and a barely visible Tad. The two young men in the foreground are not identified. On the verso it reads “The late Residence of President Lincoln, Springfield, Ill.” In fine condition save for a slight bend at the bottom right corner.
