Uncolored fabric ribbon, 3" x 8-1/2" from the 1844 campaign. At top is an oval portrait of Clay surmounted by an eagle holding a scroll inscribed FOR PRESIDENT HENRY CLAY. At bottom is an oval portrait of Frelinghuysen, also surmounted by an eagle and inscribed below, FOR VICE PRESIDENT THEODORE FRELINGHUYSEN. Small 1/2" loss of fabric, else fine. A classic Clay ribbon.
