Manuscript Document Signed, 1p. folio, April 13, 1697, Bristol, Massachusetts, being a tavern license for Jerimiah Child “to keep a common Inn Ale house or virttualling house & to use common selling of wine, ale, beer, cider &c for the span of one whole year...shall not permit ...any playing at cards, dice, tables,...nine pins, billards, or any other unlawful game...nor shall any wine liquors or other strong drink to any apprentice, servant, Indians or Negroes...” VG.
