February 20, 1766-Dated Partly-Printed Document Signed “Fra Bernard” as Governor, 1 page, measuring 8” x 6.5”, on crisp fine laid period paper, Massachusetts-Bay, Choice Very Fine. Signed by Bernard at lower right and cosigned at lower left by John Cotton as Deputy Secretary. Normal folds, with one small edge split at upper right and a small bit of paper loss at top center. This Document is equally valuable for its wonderful content and clear signature. The fire in Scarborough, Maine must have been destructive to warrant expenditures of 100 Pounds.
