Mansucript Doument Signed “David Ford” 2pp. quarto, Morris County, New Jersey, May 7, 1806, and reads in part: “...a Negro Man named Mars Wilson, late the property of the said Isabella Kearny, who, on view and examination appears to us to be sound in mind, and not under any bodily incapacity of obtaining a support...have Emancipated, Manumitted and set free...said Negro Slave Mars Wilson aged Thirty Three years and do hereby for ever discharge the said Mars Wilson from servitude...” Fine condition. Isabella Kearny was a relative of General Phil Kearney of Civil War fame.
