Print 10-1/2" x 13-1/4", withdrawn from the British publication, PUNCH, 1862, VG. This original June 1862 political cartoon print depicts the American North and American South in a struggle to the death with daggers raised by each. The combatants are on the edge of a cliff leading to the abyss labeled "Bankruptcy" and the Northern combatant clinging to a broken branch labeled "The Union."
