JACKSON, William Lowther (1825-1890) was an American politician and jurist who served as Lieutenant Governor of Virginia prior to the American Civil War, and later served as a general in the Confederate States Army. War-day Confederate Document Signed “Wm. L. Jackson” as Lieutenant Colonel, 1pp. oblong quarto, June 1861, being a provision return for Captain D.C. Anderson’s Virginia Volunteers. Fine condition.
