Manuscript Document: "Returns of the Arms and Accoutrements in use in the 7th Regiment of Infantry at Camp Montgomery, M.T. on the 30th June 1817" Lists 434 Muskets, 434 Bayonets, Cartridge Boxes and Belts, Bayonets Scabbards and Belts. "N.B. The Arms and Accoutrements in possession of Captains Nashon's and late Whartenby's companies now stationed at Fort Crawford are not included in the above return. L. Lawshe. Lieut & Q.M. 7th Inf." Signed: "A. Arbuckle, the Col Commd of the Infy." Battles with the Indians in M.T. were brutal at this time. Written six months before Mississippi was admitted to the Union. 9x10" in Fine condition.
