The original 10th Cavalry pin is neatly placed above the brim. A nice Indian wars era campaign hat. Overall decent shape showing where commensurate with age and use does have some mopping at back and on rear right side. Has 10th cavalry device on front. Sweatband in good condition showing some honest wear. This is an authentic veteran's hat. That definitely had seen some used. Overall a nice used example.
he 10th Cavalry Regiment is a unit of the United States Army. Formed as a segregated African-American unit, the 10th Cavalry was one of the original "Buffalo Soldier" regiments in the post–Civil War Regular Army. It served in combat during the Indian Wars in the western United States, the Spanish–American War in Cuba, Philippine–American War and Mexican Revolution.
