c. 1780 Revolutionary War Era to Federal Period, Historical Liverpool Creamware Bowl, with Map of the World Transfer titled "The WORLD in PLANISPHERE," Extremely Fine. This Liverpool Creamware Bowl, measures a very large and impressive 13.5" in diameter x 5" high. It has two deep black transfer prints of English countryside hunting scenes decorating its outside together with a third transfer scene of two drunken politicians sitting at a table outdoors. The interior has in its center the most important and largest transfer image displaying a Map of Two Hemisphere Globes of the World surrounded by personifications of the Four Continents with an inscription which reads, "The WORLD in PLANISPHERE." Additional ornate floral sprigs decorate the sides of this handsome Bowl on its interior. Expected very slight wear on the foot and rim, no significant chips and has no cracks. Overall, a very choice museum quality handsome historical WORLD MAP decorated Bowl meant for display.
