A great example of a "Transfer-decorated Liverpool Pottery Cream-ware Pitcher" commemorating George Washington. Front reads "Long Live the President of the United States." Back has an image depicting an unidentified American ship with the American flag off the stern and "Free Trade and Sailor Rights" on top and "A Privateer on A Cruize" on the bottom. Under spout is an image of an Eagle and Crest and reads: "E Pluribus Unum" The "S" in President and the "S" in Washington are written as what appears to be an an "f" but is actually an elongated "S" in old style. Decor type souvenir item. Heavy ceramic pottery. Undated, unmarked.
