Large Print, 18" x 23", color printed on heavy board, slight tanning on margins, still VG. Image shows Arthur Chambers, the bare-knuckle American champion in the ring. c1873 Arthur Chambers was a lightweight boxer who fought from 1868-79. He was born December 3, 1847 at Salford in Lancashire, United Kingdom. His first fight was a knockout over Tom Scattergood on September 29, 1868 in the 40th round. On September 4, 1872 he won the American Lightweight Title over Billy Edwards. He retired in 1879 with a final record of 8-0-1.
