Unique Letterhead bill for “Steamer JUDAH TOURO”, 8-1/2” x 5,” with an engraved image of the ship, April 8, 1856, VG. Judah Touro lived in New Orleans for more than 50 years, and at his death was one of the wealthiest and most prominent members of the city's Jewish community. Touro Infirmary and Touro Synagogue named in his memory and thanks to his charity are among his more prominent legacies in the city.[
