Manuscript Warrant, 8" x 12-1/2", August 25th, 1841 Livingston, (KY) 2pp. In part, "To Sergeant John H. Miller. You are hereby ordered to warn the persons whose names are under written to be and appear Armed and Equipped as the law directs for a Company parade at the house of Peter Smith in the town of Livingston on the 6th day of September at 9 o'clock in the forenoon ...Nicholas Miller, Captain". Fourteen men are listed. On the reverse, "I the within named Sergeant do hereby certify that the persons named in the written warrant were duly warned by me .... John H. Miller Sergeant". And finally "I certify that the above named Sergeant has personally appeared before me on Sept 6, 1841 .... Nicholas Miller, Captain".
