c. 1810, Anti-Slavery Letter Seal: "Am I Not a Woman and A Sister," Choice Near Mint. An unmounted seal in a golden amber-colored hard stone or glass. The engraving is of a kneeling slave woman with the inscription "Am I Not A Woman and A Sister" around the engraving. A delicate tiny piece measuring only 3/8" x 5/8". This design is a well-known image from the early 19th-Century Anti-Slavery Movement--very rare to see it on a letter seal. A Great Piece!
