Black Folk Art Oil Painting: "Baptism..." by B. Sims, no date, Choice Extremely Fine. Lovely original Folk art painting, acrylic on canvas, 19.5" x 15.5" image, framed to 24.75" x 20.5." Featuring quaint scene of a baptism at the edge of a lake. Brightly colored parishioners on the shore watch as three people in white robes are baptized. Naive painted scene includes orange-roofed church in the background and greenery. Signed "B.Sims" in paint along lower lefthand corner of painting.
