Autograph Letter Signed, “E.P. Jones” 1p. octavo, November 2, 1864, South Carolina Agency, Richmond, Virginia, addressed to William H. Long, prisoner, at Fort Deleware, and reads: “...At the request of your Father John D. Long. I send you by Flag of Truce Boat, 20lb Chewing & 10lb Smoking Tobacco. Which I hope may reach you safely...” With note on verso informing Long that the tobacco arrived but should be sold. Good.
