Sheet music “The Warriors Return Grand March Inscribed to the Memory of Lieut. Willie S. Pope, 7th Tenn. Cavalry, C.S.A. by Ch. Ph. Winkler” dedicated “To Gen. R.E. Lee” 8p. folio, published by Jas. A. McClure of Nashville, Tennessee, 1866. Foxing, else VG. William Pope, of the 7th Tennessee Cavalry, lost his life defending his country and home and is buried at Brice’s Crossroads in Mississippi.. The 7th served with Forrest in West Tennessee and Kentucky, then saw action in East Tennessee. The Regiment later participated in the Battles of Franklin and Nashville.
