We went over the other day & got the old rebel flag staff & it now stands in front of our Col. quarters it is made of pine nicely shaved it was struck by cannister shot & shattered a good deal. About one week ago a large expedition passed by here on its way to Florence, Ala, the rebels are reported storngly posted at that place...” More. About VG.
