A nice war-date ordnance return group of four partly-printed documents for 102nd New York Vols. dated from late summer 1863 through December 1864 concerning equipment on hand including an issuance of arms and equipment to Pvt. James Gallagher who left the campaign as a casualty on June 15, 1864. Interestingly, some soldiers of the same company used Springfield Muskets while their comrade alongside them used Enfield rifles. A great look at the use of arms and equipment used during one of the war's most important campaigns. Minor toning, with usual folds splits, else very good.
