Autograph Letter Signed, “David Clark” 2p. octavo, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, February 6, 1864, with cover addressed to “Harmon Trask, Co. K 8th Reg. Iowa Vet Vol.” at Memphis, Tennessee, in part:” ...Well we had a little fight a few days ago there was a part of three Regiments engaged in it the 1st Ind. the 5th Cav and the 7th Mo. We found the rebels about twenty miles south of this place. We drove in their pickets at the first. They made a stand when we came to their camp but their stand didnt amount to much for we had two pieces of light artilery along which soon made them skedaddle. We run them about ten miles they would make a stand about every half mile when our fire would compel them to run...” Fine.
