Wheelock and printed by Ledger Job Prints of Philadelphia, this poem reads in part: “...Perish every heart and hand;/ Sunk be every inch of land,/ Ere we bow to Treason’s frown!/Down with Treason! strike it down!/ O’er the land our banner waves;/ Davis captured! Free the Slaves!/ Now is Texas ours once more!/ Saved the Union! War is o’er!...” Fine.
