1866 Civil War Pension Broadside: "ALL SOLDIERS having army service Wounds, Injury, Rupture, or Sickness... are entitled to PENSIONS!" by Henry Boynton, Attorney, Augusta, ME, Very Fine. 17.75" x 11.75" uncolored Civil War Pension Broadside includes an postmarked original envelope. This Union Civil War Pension announcement advertises for "All soldiers having Army Service Wounds, Injury, Rupture, or Sickness Still Existing..." to contact Henry Boynton, an Augusta, Maine Pension Attorney. Boynton claims he will obtain new or increased benefits for "any soldier who is injured by sickness, wound, disease, hurt, or otherwise received in the line of duty." Boynton identifies himself as "Late Colonel 6th Regiment Maine Volunteers, Brevet Brigadier General U.S. and recently Agent of U.S. for paying pensions." Broadside features extensive text urging disabled veterans to contact Boynton in order to obtain the highest level of benefits possible. Crisp, dark printed text, normal folds, very slight edge wear. The back has extensive penciled notations of what appear to be lists of veterans and their service dates. Lot also includes an original, postmarked envelope from Grantham, NH, addressed "To any Soldier of the late War". Goldenrod colored envelope with moderate soiling and wear, a few small edge tears, and a fold down the middle. (2 items)
