This rare and handsome mourning card displays a portrait of Abraham Lincoln, taken from a Brady photograph as marked in pencil on the verso of card, which also dates the Brady photograph from which it was taken as 1864. The portrait is surrounded by a broad black mourning border with the name "ABRAHAM LINCOLN" at the bottom portion of the black border. Above the black mourning bordered portrait is "IN MEMORIAM" and below the bordered portrait is "BORN FEBRUARY 12th 1809 - DIED APRIL 15th 1865." The birth and death information is in two lines at the bottom, as indicated, and the entire rectangular card displays a second black border throughout the edges. Measures 1-1/2"x4-1/2", and is VG.
