Autograph Letter Signed, “George Panderbyden” 1p. quarto, Troy, New York, February 18, 1847, and reads in part: “...I called this day at the post you command and was informed that you was at the Seat of Government and that your return was not expected under a fortnight. My object in calling to see you was to show for your inspection a plan and drawing of a battery & c &c for the storming and taking the castle of San Juan D’ Ulloa at Pera Cruz, also the revoutionizing of coast and harbour defence, upon an entire new plan and at the same time saved millions of expence to the country...” More.
