Copperplate engraving by Amos Doolittle, 12"" x 8", Very Fine. Engraved for the American Edition of MAYNARD's Josephus, this engraving is entitled, "The Combined Forces of The AMALEKITES defeated by JOSHUA." Light foxing. Amos Doolittle was one of the earliest plate-engravers in America and his work includes a version of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, many maps, bookplates, Bible illustrations, etc.
