Neatly penned one page letter from Henry Cohen in Columbia, South Carolina, August 7, 1849 to Leeser. Asks him to forward the June issue of Occident as he mislaid his copy and does not want to break up his series; ends by “hoping you are in the enjoyment of good health and that you will continue exempt from the disease with which your city is now visited.” Light aging. Few tiny tears only on extreme edge of left margin. Back sheet acts as cover with address and Columbia postal surcharge.
