A grouping of well over 75 miscellaneous documents, not researched by us, all pertaining to cases brought before the New York Supreme Court between the 1820s and 1840s. The documents vary in size and composition from legal briefs and other legal folio sized documents to checks, promissory notes, and everything in between ., The cases concern a variety of issues, with Lawsuits concerning property ownership and non payment of funds being prominent and also cases involving losses in such diverse industries as horse breeding and buggy, and saddle making , as well as shoes and clothing. Some of the suits involving loss of or non-payment for labor or property have very detailed lists of the costs of the various commodities involved. The condition of the documents vary, but are predominantly in good to very good condition.
