Robertson” 7p. 16”x6-1/2”, Brooklyn, January 25, 1861, addressed to Wayman Crow of St. Louis, Missouri, and reads in part: “...In a recent conversation at the Banking House of Messrs. J & J Stuart & Co. I was most politely entertained, by the acting copartners of that good Old Scotch House, into whose good graces you were pleased to introduce me personally in the year 1857....In the course of my conversations with you...your refusal to impart the history of my business transactions, which occured under your immediate supervision in the City of New York in the year 1857, did much to estrange me from you...” Much more.
