c. 1865 Engraving of Abraham Lincoln, Signed by the Artist, Thomas Johnson, Choice Extremely Fine. Uncolored engraving of Lincoln's stern profile, captured by "T. Johnson," who signs in pencil below the image, 9.25" x 7" on large sheet, attached to mat overleaf, 19.25" x 14.25". A famous, expertly rendered portrait of Lincoln, which is also marked "First State" on the bottom margin. Very strong detail. Minor soiling and smudges in the margins, but with proper framing, this item will make a terrific display piece--particularly due to its historic value!
