Christian Jr.” Secretary to the President, 1p. octavo, on “The White House” stationary, March 11, 1921, addressed to Carl Loeffler, United States Senate, who at this time was assistant doorkeeper, but would eventually serve the senate for 50 years. It reads: “....I have received your letter of yesterday and am glad to hear from you. I note with care all that you say and shall, of course, bear it in mind. Please let me assure you that I deeply appreciate your good wishes...” VG.
